We’re now creative four days a week
Inventura’s creative workshops have expanded to include photography, fine arts and creative writing. On Tuesdays the creative workshop offers a rich programme: participants try out various techniques, study the formal aspects of painting and, of course, paint as they please.
The programme always ends with a slide show of paintings by famous and less famous artists and a discussion. We discover that works of art can be interpreted in many ways. Why is that lady naked? Maybe she lost everything and has no home or clothes. That painting by Mondriaan must surely be a message from extraterrestrials! And why aren’t my scribbles as nice as those made by Dubuffet?
On Wednesdays we find out the different ways to approach literary creation: it can be a way to communicate with angels and strengthen your own faith; it can help you get rid of pent-up anger; it can be a teaching tool or a way to spread humour; or it can be a way to confess your love to Hermione from Harry Potter. Our Thursday documentary film workshop has already taken place three times and it’s going very well. Participants are becoming familiar with different documentary genres and testing out the future tools for conquering public space: cameras and microphones. We have resolutely decided to create our own documentary film and the theme is slowly but surely beginning to coalesce before our eyes. The theatre workshop also takes place on Thursdays, and you can learn more about the play that is slowly taking shape there in the updates in our Theatre section. The photography workshop is one of our newest projects. In our first meetings we have been getting acquainted and finding out what type of photographer each one of us is. But in the next few weeks we will start working with specific themes. We will go out into the filed, create reports, photograph in the studio or let ourselves be inspired by the atmosphere of the Meet Factory, where we get together every Friday morning. The workshops are open to new participants, so don’t hesitate. If you are interested, drop us a line.
